We beat Kentucky! And we didn't just beat them, we beat them. 38 to 14! I'm so glad I was there to experience this. I tailgated before the game for the first time. (minus Purdue tailgating last year. boilermakers are ugly and their mothers dress them funny.) There was fried chicken and root beer and parents. I lost my voice halfway into the first quarter and kept screaming. My own mother didn't recognize my man-ish voice over the phone. I love when I get to be loud. Alice and I danced to the grooves of the Marching Hundred, good times. Apart from the excruciatingly long third quarter and awkward David Spade appearances the game was grrrrreat. Josh Schuler, my college minister, and folks drove up for the game and we went to Cafe Pizzeria for eats and laughs. It so nice to have people come to see me. It makes me feel loved.
You know what else makes me feel loved? Letters! My mama sent me one and I got it today. It's on my wall, my wall of love.
At a WFC gathering I learned how to pointy dance and taught people how to do the pointy dance (i'm pretty sure that's copyrighted by Alice Wildes). There was a dance off! Lisa should've won but I'm not sure that a winner was declared. Phil slow danced, middle school style, with me. And he dipped me! Speaking of dancing, Nat Favor and I are going to be latin dancing on Thursdays thru (not through, because that's cheating at scrabble) La Casa and you should come.
Front Row B.B. King tickets, y'all. Hell yes. One is for my pop's birthday. We're both pretty psyched.
